He's one of the best interpretations of Riddler and here is WHY.

“he's a desyassified version,” “he doesn't wear expensive suits full of question marks,” “that suit was boring” NO!!!!! IT WAS THE PERFECT SUIT FOR HIM TO START!!! He literally comes from the lowest point, and he talks about how the men in power and corruption keep the low income/poor people at the bottom. Ofc he can't afford those shiny beautiful suits because he doesn't have money for it. Also the military suit was GREAT. He paint it and designed his own symbol which is amazing, a gun sight with a "?" in the center.

Also, he fights againts corruption and classism? 😭 Why would ppl hate that? He fights for the people that were forgotten like him.

“it's not the same story of his father and blah blah blah” ok, they changed his origin story A LOT, and I can get why you get mad at it. I also get mad when I am used to the southern granny Scarecrow story and ppl change it to the story of his father experimenting of him- BUT regarding the Riddler's origin story, it is so so great. Eddie HATES LIES AS WELL, HATES CHEATING, because ppl used to tell him that he could have a better future, and gave him fake hopes. He just wanted an opportunity to be better and when that promise of renewal broke, he broke, too.

He grew wanting to please everyone, be a good boy for the nuns and the other children at the orphanage, even if he didnt agree in somethings or if it was difficult for him to act "normal" (masking his autism- we will talk about that soon), but NOBODY thanked or pleased him. As he got older, he still followed orders from his corrupt boss and the goverment. But what did they do for him? NOTHING. And when he does something for himself ppl tag him as self-centered.

He became the Riddler for the others that also needed help, not only because of him, and ppl still think he's selfish.

He's implied to be autistic (you can notice this more in the comics of Riddler: Year One by Paul Dano), he is non-verbal since kid (canon), as an adult ppl say he doesn't talk and call him weird. He doesn't know how to interact with people in a "normal" way. He also seems to vocally stim with riddles and weird silly noises that you can hear in the movie.

The catholic guilt content? PLEASEEEE. We need to take advantage of that. He even did a catholic reference riddle!!! (That one of the sins of the father)

We can also see that topic of him dont knowing if he's insane or not, (or denying being it). He knows his situation is not good, and HE TRIES to be better, listening to podcast about mindfulness and stay positive- but at the end, everything gets worse to him. He's very smart and is afraid that his biggest and greatest thing about himself (his mind) is also the worst thing and can turn againts himself because of a mental illness. We saw it in the movie when Batman calls him "sick and twisted, etc etc," and he has a mental breakdown. Yes, that scene is DEEPER than you think. His mother died in Arkham when he was in the orphanage as a kid, now imagine that the guy you always admired says to you, “you're gonna die alone at Arkham” just like his mother did and no one cared. He doesn't want that, he wants to be remembered. He doesn't want to end up like his mother- alone and mentally ill.

He makes funny jokes in the movie! He's so goofy!!!!

AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT HIM BEING A BIG BOY?!!!! CHUBBY RIDDLER SUPREMACY!!!!!

And please he has the same bad habits as Arkhamverse Riddler, you cannot hate this version of him if you love Arkham Knight Riddler. He doesn't sleep well because he plays the DETECTIVE role (YES! HE ALSO GOES THERE AND INVESTIGATES- or else how tf would he have evidence of all the corruption and know all that information?) and claims that Einstein only took naps. He doesnt eat well. His lastname is Nashton (a reminder that is canon that Arkhamverse Riddler had the same lastname before changing it to Nygma). And in this page called "nigma. org" is well known and ppl call him a genius, which suggests that we will soon see how he calls himself E. Nygma.

And yes, he is also a little bastard insufferable, and if you dont think so, then I guess we didnt watch the same movie.

last song: Well I'm currently watching Glee, so it would be Hold On. But outside of that, it's Starting Gun by Mad Moon Riot. I was in a nostalgic mood.

last movie: I just watched All You Ever Wished For yesterday and Puppy Love the day before that (it's been a week for bad romcoms). In theaters I saw Jurrasic Park in 3D for National Cinema Day a few weeks ago.

currently watching: Currently in season 5 of Glee and of course keeping up on Ahsoka as it airs.

other stuff I watched this year: TV: I was watching White Collar and Red Dwarf, I still need to finish both of those but Glee distracted me. I also rewatched all of Farscape, Stargate SG-1, and Jericho, and of course Heartstopper when season 2 came out. Movies wise I saw Barbie and Oppenheimer, the new Scream, and Cocaine Bear. I feel like there were other new things Ive watched recently but I don't remember what.

shows I dropped this year/didn't finish: I haven't watched any new shows to drop, but I did pause in my Red Dwarf rewatch for White Collar and then I paused that for a Glee rewatch, but I will get back to them, eventually.

currently reading: Still need to finish Red White and Royal Blue, but I just started I Keep My Exoskeletons to Myself. And then for fanfic I'm in the middle of How Bright We Burn and Bad Seeds (both Seblaine at Dalton AUs) and Don't You Remember (A Kurtbastian fic). I'm also in the middle of the audiobook for Stranger Than Fanfiction

currently listening to: I've of course been obsessively listening to the Nerdy Prudes Must Die album since it came out, and then also just all of Chord Overstreets songs. And then for podcasts I've been listening to Woe.Begone of course but I'm way behind on Malevolent and Celler Letters.

currently working on: I've been outlining my 3-part Season 2/3 AU that I'm affectionately referring to as The Hevans Saga, The Klaine Saga, and The Seblaine Saga. And of course I'm still in the middle of writing things for Seblaine week and I started a part 2 of my Autistic!Kurt AU.

current obsession: Seblaine almost feels too obvious, but it's accurate. But also just thinking about Glee in general and specifically Blaine, Kurt, and Sam and all of the ways they were screwed over by the show and how many fics I want to write to fix it.

I do not have confidence in my ability to consistently trigger tag things. I completely understand why people may want certain things tagged, but ultimately i am not a person who is going to be able to consistently remember to do so. I get a LOT of requests and unfortunately I can't fulfill them all. Most of the tags I use are due to digital hoarding compulsions as opposed to actively remembering to tag things. Additionally, I do reblog a lot of things that fall into that general category so if guns are an issue for you I think that following me is maybe not the best thing for your mental health(though ofc this is up to your discretion). Stay safe, take care of yourself, and keep advocating for yourself :)

I have a lot of followers and I really can't accommodate every single trigger tag request i get. If you are a mutual please feel free to message me and I will do my best to accomodate you (first and foremost, I would need much more information to know how to do so, eg, what counts as something that requires a tag, because "guns" is a category that I think a lot of things can fall into (on account of the fact that I'm autistic)) however if you are not a mutual/someone I have personally engaged with in the past, I would suggest you unfollow me as I (as mentioned) am really not capable of fulfilling every single tagging request I receive.

I'm going to try make sense of the dream as how a movie would go so it will not be accurate to how the events in my dream played out

So Mason is a senior in highschool that a lot of people really liked, he was a popular kid and he had a bucket list of things to do before graduating, you know, pranks and hijinks. He has been in some drama in the past but so far most of them are so typical that they are overlooked, cheating scandals and the like. This year he is trying to get some extracurricular experience in so he has something to network in. For some reason he chose theater???

Anyways so he joins theater as a class then joins a school club that some of the theater kids are in (they basically do whatever(idk, the choir kids and the ap english kids in my school joined to make a manga club))

So there we get introduced to this little guy who is obsessed with pennywise idk I think he is autistic and also gay. Mason for some reason thinks it would be funny to bully him or prank him (leave my guy alone, also he had a name but i literally forgot it the moment i woke up, but he kinda looks like one of the twinks from It chapter 1, which is kinda funny tbh bc he is obsessed with it) so Mason knowing that he likes pennywise decides to prank him by convincing him he is real, so he tells him that he found a place that pennywise is at and tells him that it only moves if it likes you, so the guy goes and it moves, (i also really dont remember what was physically happening but i do remember what was going on so idk what "it" is referring to, i think it was a pennywise statue) so then the guy goes to Mason and was like "holy shit its real, can you come with me to make sure its not just me seeing this" and so they go together, and the guy is talking about his experience while it isn't moving, this is very sad for the guy and Mason makes fun of him, and then when it starts moving the guy gets excited and then Mason pulls out a phaser from the prop department that he modded to be a bb gun and shoots the guy leaving him injured (bc he is literally babygirl coded, my beloved) and Mason takes off leaving the guy behind.

Then we find out that there is also a girl named Ruby that goes to the club, she is one of thoes D&D nerds and they play a Genshin Impact version of World of Warcraft. She is the standard nerd girl and probably also has autism, and this is also going around the same time Mason is harassing the guy. But anyways so they are playing video games or whatevers, I think they are playing world of impact (idk tbh the game play looks a bit more like dead by daylight but in my dream it told me that it was a mmorpg) and they are fighting a boss by a cabin by a lake and Mason fucking sucks ass and Ruby has to save his ass, I literally dont remember what happened here but probably Mason made unwanted advancements thinking Ruby was easy and she wasn't. Later we find out he does this to literally all of the girls in school all throughout highschool so like wtf dude. I think more stuff happens but it is only revealed at the end of the movie who he fucked with and turns out it was literally every fucking student.

So by this time everyone already is beginning to have had enough of his shit bc it's not just isolated in the theater department. Word spreads arround and people everywhere start standing up against him bc he a menace.

So during graduation everyone who is in a elected class has to do a final performance for their diploma, so like they have their graduation ceremony first and then they have to preform as a school tradition. So during graduation everyone is chill, but the moment the ceremony is over, the torture begins. So as they are walking to go get ready for their final, Mason was being a prick (ofc he is) and then one of the popular girls takes out a pregnancy test and throws it at him, it was positive. She was all like "i had enough of your shit mason, how dare you cheat and got me preggos" and then all of the girls start chanting "Us us us" as they form a group around Mason and start throwing shit at him that had a significance, some one throws a prop knife at him and I think it was Ruby. Then guy also starts to shoot him bc he got shot. The kids all get ready for their performance and swap out with the other kids in the circle, they kinda all attack him like vultures. Then they shove him in his theater costume (he was either a pizza or a pineapple) and they told him around, then they hang him over a overpass in a harness, leaving him out their while the all preform their final without him.

Weird dream I had where it was just an entire teenage revenge movie where an entire highschool got revenge on a guy named Mason during graduation. Probably called everyone likes Mason, I think it was like a horror comedy.
